Support for Families

If you are living with, care for or are close to someone with an alcohol or drug problem this can mean that day to day life can be very difficult; many people feel that they can’t cope. However, it’s important for families to know that they are not alone and that help and support is available. It’s also important to remember that people can and do recover from drug and alcohol problems no matter how bad that problem might seem or how long it has gone on for.

Looking after yourself

Meridian Lanarkshire provide a free, Lanarkshire wide, community based, confidential, one-to-one alcohol and drug service for individuals and family members affected by alcohol and drug problems.

The Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs aim to support families across Scotland who are affected by alcohol and drug misuse and raise awareness of the issues affecting them. For free confidential support and information call 08080 10 10 11.
